Some Art

Here are some of those first paintings I did for class, as well as some earlier things…

I didn’t finish this one, and if I recall correctly, it was going to have a real macabre feel to it. Guess that part of me has always been the same. The items in this image are a box of 3×5 cards, a hammer, a teapot with a broken handle and a flower for the spout, and a white colored pencil. The school skeleton is also in the background, and whatever else was in the room, it seems.

This is a self-portrait I did too… I guess I captured my essence. I think I’m most proud of the shirt texture. If nothing else, it looks like cloth, so that’s good.

Even Older…

While I never thought of myself as an artist until I took that class, I was always drawing as a kid (often I used PowerPoint as a sandbox and just went wild… I still do).

I have this odd series of space war/colonization-themed propaganda. I made this a long time ago, but just for fun, I made it more recently. Maybe one day they will be the genesis of a story, who knows… I do like how both of these posters show just how much better I got at art, so that’s fun

Let’s talk PowerPoint! I am eternally grateful for everything PowerPoint has done for me. I still prefer it over any ‘better’ illustration/design software, because, let’s face it, there isn’t any. Before I played video games, I spent hours on the computer building things in PowerPoint, from fake but functional desktop computer operating systems, to video games, board games, art, and even 3d explorable environments…. I did it all.

Check out this trippy thing! it’s all limbs! So cool!
